My very first time to the Heldair Show Maritiem. Held at Den Helder Airport. Heldair Show Maritiem is a nice colaboration between the civilian and military part of the field. Both open their doors to show what they do, like helicopter charter flights to drill sites in the North Sea and maintenance of the Lynx naval helicopter to name but a few.

First let me start by bringing my condolences to the family of two female pilots who passed away around the time of the Buurse airshow. Svetlana Federenko en Vicki Cruse both passed away while performing what they were passionate about, aerobatic flying.

The anticipation was high, the participants list was growing and growing, but would the Vulcan come? The Luchtmachtdagen (Airforce days) at Volkel AFB had good weather and a very nice program. This time around the show had quite some participants that hadn't flown or flown occasionally at one of the RNLAF airshows. Great stuff.

"Such a Perfect Day" as Lou Reed once sang. The 31th of May and the 1st of June I attended a Stearman fly-in and an airshow at Oostwold Airport. Oostwold is close to the city of Groningen which is in the north of the Netherlands.
